The dry season, from May to October, is ideal for visiting Salar de Uyuni as the salt flats are easily accessible. The rainy season, from November to April, offers stunning mirror-like reflections on the salt flats, but can sometimes make access more challenging.

Pack warm clothing, including layers, as temperatures can drop significantly, especially at night. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat are essential due to the high altitude and sun reflection. Sturdy shoes are needed for walking on the salt flats, and a good camera is a must to capture the unique scenery.

The most common way to reach Uyuni is by flying into the local airport or by taking an overnight bus from major cities. From Uyuni, you can join a guided tour to explore the Salar de Uyuni and surrounding attractions.
