The best time to visit Tofo Beach is during the dry season, from May to October. During these months, the weather is sunny and the sea conditions are ideal for diving and snorkeling. The visibility is excellent, and the chances of encountering marine life, such as whale sharks and manta rays, are higher. However, the shoulder seasons (April and November) can also be pleasant, offering fewer crowds and still favorable weather.

The most common way to get to Tofo Beach is by flying into Inhambane Airport (INH), which is approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) from Tofo. From the airport, you can take a taxi or arrange a transfer to your accommodation. Alternatively, you can travel by bus or a private shuttle from Maputo, the capital city, which is a longer journey but offers a more budget-friendly option. Driving is also possible, but the roads can be challenging, especially during the rainy season.
