Ajmer can be reached by air, train or bus. The nearest airport is the Jaipur International Airport, which is about 130 km away. Ajmer Junction is the main railway station in the city, which is well connected to major cities. State-run buses and private buses also ply to and from Ajmer.

The major attractions of Ajmer are the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Ana Sagar Lake, Adhai Din Ka Jhopra, Taragarh Fort, Nasiyan Jain Temple, and Akbari Fort and Museum.

There is no entry fee for Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
