Airlie Beach offers a plethora of activities, including sailing trips to the Whitsunday Islands, snorkeling and diving in the Great Barrier Reef, exploring Whitehaven Beach, jet skiing, paddleboarding, and simply relaxing on the beach. You can also enjoy scenic flights over the islands and reef, or explore the town's shops, restaurants, and bars.

The best time to visit Airlie Beach is during the dry season, from May to October, when the weather is sunny and the humidity is lower. This period offers ideal conditions for outdoor activities and exploring the islands. However, the shoulder seasons (April and November) can also be pleasant with fewer crowds.

The most common way to get to Airlie Beach is by flying into Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine Airport - PPP), which is about a 30-minute drive from Airlie Beach. You can also fly into Hamilton Island Airport (HTI) and take a ferry or water taxi to Airlie Beach. Alternatively, you can drive, with the Bruce Highway providing access to the area.
