Stepantsminda

The best time to visit Stepantsminda is during the summer months (June to September) when the weather is warm and the hiking trails are accessible. However, the shoulder seasons (May and October) can also be pleasant, offering fewer crowds and beautiful autumn colors.

The most common way to reach Stepantsminda is by marshrutka (shared minibus) or taxi from Tbilisi. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours and offers scenic views along the Georgian Military Highway. Alternatively, you can hire a private car or join a guided tour.

Stepantsminda offers a wide range of activities, including hiking to Gergeti Trinity Church, exploring the Gveleti waterfalls, jeep tours to the Chaukhi massif, horseback riding, paragliding, and experiencing Georgian culture through local cuisine and guesthouses.
