AI assistants are good at planning a trip once you know where to go. They are bad at the step before that: they suggest the same famous cities again and again, and they cannot see today's fares. Earth Roulette fills that gap with a random draw from thousands of destinations and the cheapest fares seen from your airport.

What you can ask

  • "I can't decide where to travel. Surprise me."
  • "Pick three warm, affordable places in Asia that are good for diving."
  • "What are the cheapest flights from Lisbon next month?"
  • "Where can I fly from London for under 50 euros?"
  • "Where in Europe is warm in February?"
  • "When is the cheapest month to fly from Lisbon to Bangkok?"
  • "Tell me about Chania. What can I do there, and where should I stay?"
  • "What is the airport code for Porto?"

Tools

spin_destination

Picks random destinations that match your filters. All filters are optional.

  • continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Oceania.
  • tags: activities such as Beaches, Hiking, Diving, Nightlife, Museums, Romantic, Kid friendly, Winter sport. A place must match every tag.
  • cost: affordable, moderate, or expensive, for daily spend at the destination.
  • temperature: cold (below 12°C), mild (12–20°C), or warm (above 20°C), in the travel month.
  • month: the travel month for the temperature, 1 to 12. The default is the current month.
  • count: 1 to 5 places. The default is 3.

Each place comes with its country, a cost score from 1 to 10 (higher is cheaper), the average temperature for every month, activity tags, its Earth Roulette page, and a hotel search link. Each place is a separate random draw, so ask again for a new set.

get_destination

The full guide to one place: a summary and a longer description, ratings from 1 to 10 for each activity, the cost score, the average and current temperature, common questions with answers, how to get there, and the nearest airport code. Give it a place name or the id from another result. If two places have the same name, it asks which one you mean.

cheap_flights

Lists the cheapest one-way fares seen recently from an airport or city, cheapest first.

  • origin (required): an IATA airport or city code, such as LIS, LON, or NYC.
  • month: the travel month as YYYY-MM, up to 11 months ahead. The default is the current month.
  • max_price: leave out fares above this price.
  • currency: EUR (default), USD, GBP, CNY, JPY, AUD, or CAD.
  • limit: 1 to 25 fares. The default is 10.

Each fare has a flight search link for the route and, when we know it, the destination with its weather and Earth Roulette page. Prices are the lowest fares seen for that month, not live quotes, so the price on the booking site can be different.

route_prices

The cheapest dates on one route. Give an origin and a destination code. Without a month, you get the cheapest fare in each of the coming months. With a month (YYYY-MM), you get the cheapest fare for each day of that month. Each fare has the airline, the number of stops, and a flight search link for that date.

things_to_do

Tours and activities in a place, with a short description, a price from, a rating out of 5 when there is one, and a booking link. Up to 10 results.

hotels

Well-rated hotels in a place, with the guest rating out of 10, the number of reviews, a price from per night, and a Booking.com link. The result also has a link to every hotel in the place. Hotel prices come from an earlier check and can change.

find_airport

The IATA codes for a city or airport name, with nearby airports and their distance. Use it when you do not know the code for a flight search.

Privacy

Earth Roulette only reads public travel data. It receives the search details your assistant sends, never your chat or your account. It does not store them. Flight, hotel, and tour links include an Earth Roulette tag, so partner sites know where the visit came from. The privacy policy has the details.

Limits and support

  • Earth Roulette answers in English. Your assistant can translate the results.
  • Some destination airports do not link to an Earth Roulette page yet. Those fares still have a flight search link.
  • Very high request rates from one address get a short pause.
