حول سان مارينو

San Marino, officially known as the Republic of San Marino, is a microstate surrounded by Italy, located on the northeastern side of the Apennine Mountains. It is one of the world's oldest republics, having been founded on September 3, 301, by a Christian stonemason named Marinus. Despite its small size, San Marino has maintained its independence throughout its long history, except for a brief occupation by Cesare Borgia in the early 16th century. The country is known for its picturesque setting, medieval walled town, and narrow cobblestone streets. The capital, also called San Marino, is perched atop Mount Titano and is famous for its three towers: Guaita, Cesta, and Montale. These towers are iconic symbols of the republic and offer panoramic views of the surrounding Italian countryside. San Marino's economy is mainly based on finance, industry, services, and tourism. It is known for its stable and prosperous economy with a low unemployment rate. The country issues its own euros with distinctive designs and is famed for its stamps, which are highly sought-after by collectors. With a population of just over 30,000, it is one of the smallest countries in the world. Despite its size, San Marino boasts a rich cultural heritage, with traditions that have persisted for centuries. The official language is Italian, and the country has a high standard of living, excellent healthcare, and a rich cultural life. San Marino is not a member of the European Union, but it maintains a close relationship with Italy and other EU nations.
