The Herzog August Bibliothek is a must-see, along with the Schloss Wolfenbüttel (Wolfenbüttel Castle), and the historical market square. Stroll through the city center to admire the well-preserved half-timbered houses and visit the numerous museums.

The best time to visit Wolfenbüttel is during the spring and summer months (May to September) when the weather is pleasant, and various outdoor events and festivals take place. The Christmas market in December is also a popular attraction.

Wolfenbüttel is easily accessible by train from major German cities like Hanover and Braunschweig. The town is also well-connected by road. The nearest major airport is Hannover Airport (HAJ).
