Vieste

Vieste boasts numerous beautiful beaches. Some of the most popular include Spiaggia di Pizzomunno, known for its proximity to the iconic monolith; Spiaggia Lunga, a long sandy beach perfect for families; and Baia delle Zagare, famous for its stunning cliffs and crystal-clear waters. Many smaller coves and beaches can also be found along the coast, offering secluded spots for relaxation.

Besides the beaches, must-see attractions include the Pizzomunno monolith, the historic center with its narrow streets and whitewashed houses, the Swabian Castle, the Cathedral of Vieste, and the Trabucchi, traditional fishing platforms along the coast. Boat trips to the sea caves are also highly recommended.

The best time to visit Vieste is during the shoulder seasons, from May to June and September to October. The weather is pleasant, the crowds are smaller, and the prices are generally lower than in the peak summer months of July and August. However, the summer months offer the warmest weather and the liveliest atmosphere.
