Varenna

Must-see attractions include Villa Monastero and its gardens, the Church of San Giorgio, the Castello di Vezio (for panoramic views), and a leisurely walk along the Passeggiata degli Innamorati (Lovers' Walk).

Varenna is easily accessible by train to the Varenna-Esino station, followed by a short walk to the village center. It is also accessible by ferry from other towns on Lake Como, such as Bellagio and Como.

The best time to visit Varenna is during the shoulder seasons (April-May and September-October) when the weather is pleasant, and the crowds are smaller. Summer (June-August) is also popular, but it can be crowded and hot.
