The easiest way to reach Valdivia is by flying to Santiago, Chile, and then taking a domestic flight to Valdivia. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Santiago, which takes approximately 9 hours.

Some must-visit places include the Parque Saval, the Museo Histórico y Antropológico de Valdivia, and the Catedral de Valdivia. The Valdivia Market is also a popular spot, and a stroll along the Calle-Calle river is highly recommended.

Valdivia is famous for its seafood, especially shellfish. You can find excellent restaurants along the Calle-Calle river. The local beer, brewed by Cervecería Kunstmann, is also a must-try.
