Tegernsee

Tegernsee offers a wide range of activities. Popular choices include hiking and cycling in the surrounding mountains, swimming and boating on the lake, visiting the Tegernsee Abbey, exploring the town's shops and restaurants, and attending local festivals and events. In winter, skiing and snowboarding are also available in nearby areas.

Tegernsee is easily accessible from Munich. You can take a direct train from Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Tegernsee station, which takes about an hour. By car, it's approximately a one-hour drive from Munich via the A8 and B307.

Tegernsee offers a variety of Bavarian cuisine. You can find traditional dishes like Schweinshaxe (pork knuckle), Weißwurst (white sausage), and Brezeln (pretzels).
