Key attractions include Lews Castle, the Stornoway Harbour, the An Lanntair arts center, and the various shops and restaurants in the town center. Day trips to the Callanish Standing Stones and the beaches of Harris are also highly recommended.

The best time to visit Stornoway is during the summer months (June to August) when the weather is generally milder and the days are longer. However, the shoulder seasons (May and September) can also be pleasant, with fewer crowds.

You can reach Stornoway by ferry from Ullapool on the Scottish mainland, or by plane to Stornoway Airport (SYY). The ferry is a scenic option, while the plane offers a quicker journey.
