Siegen

The Oberes Schloss (Upper Castle) and Unteres Schloss (Lower Castle) are the most significant historical sites. The Upper Castle houses the Siegerlandmuseum, and the Lower Castle is home to the University of Siegen. Other notable sites include the Nikolaikirche and the Krönchen, Siegen's landmark.

Siegen is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering excellent opportunities for hiking and cycling. There are numerous trails through the forests and hills, providing stunning views and a chance to connect with nature. The nearby Biggesee lake also offers water sports.

The best time to visit Siegen is during the spring and summer months (May to September) when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities and the city's parks and gardens are in full bloom. The Christmas market in December is also a popular attraction.
