Selinunte

Selinunte is easily accessible by car, with convenient routes from Palermo (approx. 2 hours) and Agrigento (approx. 1 hour). Public transportation options include buses from nearby towns like Castelvetrano. Renting a car is recommended to fully explore the area.

The main attractions are the ancient ruins, particularly the Acropolis with its temples. Temple E is the most impressive, though unfinished. The Temple of Hera is also worth visiting. Explore the Eastern Hill, Western Hill, and the sanctuary of Malophoros.

Wear comfortable shoes as the site involves a lot of walking. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and water, as there is limited shade. Consider visiting during the cooler months for a more pleasant experience.
