Sassari

The Duomo, Piazza d'Italia, the National Archaeological Museum G.A. Sanna, and the Fontana di Rosello are among the must-see attractions. Exploring the historic center, with its narrow streets and elegant buildings, is also a must.

The best time to visit Sassari is during the spring (April-June) or fall (September-October) when the weather is pleasant, and the crowds are smaller. Summer (July-August) is hot and crowded, while winter can be mild but with occasional rain.

Sassari has its own airport, Alghero-Fertilia Airport (AHO), which is served by several airlines. You can also reach Sassari by ferry from various ports in Italy and France. The city is well-connected by train and bus to other parts of Sardinia.
