Some of the best beaches include Playa Maderas, known for its excellent surfing conditions; Playa Marsella, a beautiful and calm beach perfect for swimming; and Playa Hermosa, offering a more secluded and relaxing experience. Each beach offers a unique vibe and caters to different preferences.

Besides surfing, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as yoga retreats, horseback riding, zip-lining, boat tours, and exploring nearby nature reserves like the Refugio de Vida Silvestre La Flor, a nesting site for sea turtles.

The dry season, from December to April, is generally considered the best time to visit, offering sunny weather and ideal surfing conditions. However, the shoulder seasons (May-June and September-November) can also be pleasant, with fewer crowds and still good weather.
