Portofino

The best time to visit Portofino is during the shoulder seasons, from April to May and September to October. The weather is pleasant, the crowds are smaller than in the peak summer months, and prices are generally more reasonable. July and August are the busiest and most expensive months.

The closest airport is Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA). From there, you can take a train to Santa Margherita Ligure and then a bus or taxi to Portofino. Alternatively, you can arrive by boat, which is a popular and scenic option.

Must-do activities include strolling around the Piazzetta, visiting Castello Brown, exploring the Church of San Giorgio, taking a boat trip to the Paraggi Bay, and enjoying a meal at one of the waterfront restaurants. Don't forget to indulge in some gelato!
