The best time to visit Ordu is during the spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) when the weather is mild and pleasant. Summer (June-August) is also popular, but it can be crowded. Winter (November-March) can be cold and rainy.

Ordu is a walkable city, especially in the city center. Public transportation, including buses and dolmuş (shared taxis), is readily available. Taxis are also an option. For exploring the surrounding areas, renting a car is recommended.
