Key attractions include the Newport Mansions (The Breakers, Marble House, etc.), Cliff Walk, Fort Adams State Park, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame. A harbor cruise or sailing excursion is also highly recommended.

The best time to visit Newport is during the shoulder seasons (May-June and September-October) when the weather is pleasant, and the crowds are smaller. Summer (July-August) is also popular, but it can be crowded and more expensive.

Newport is easily walkable, especially around the downtown area and waterfront. However, for exploring the mansions and other attractions, consider using the local bus system, renting a bike, or taking a taxi or rideshare service.
