The best time to visit New Taipei is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months. The weather is pleasant, with comfortable temperatures and less rainfall. Summer (June to August) can be hot and humid, while winter (December to February) can be cool and rainy.

New Taipei has an excellent public transportation system. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is efficient and covers a wide area. Buses are also readily available and connect to areas not served by the MRT. Taxis are plentiful and affordable. Consider purchasing an EasyCard for convenient travel on public transport.

Must-see attractions include Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen, Shifen Old Street (where you can release sky lanterns), the National Palace Museum (Southern Branch), and the various temples and night markets throughout the city. Each location offers a unique glimpse into the culture and beauty of New Taipei.
