Mafra

The primary attraction is the Mafra National Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Other attractions include the Mafra Convent, the Tapada Nacional de Mafra, and the charming town center with its traditional architecture and local shops.

Mafra is easily accessible from Lisbon. You can take a direct bus from Lisbon's Campo Grande bus station, which takes approximately 1 hour. Alternatively, you can drive, which takes about the same time. The town is well-connected and easy to navigate.

The best time to visit Mafra is during the spring (April-June) or autumn (September-October) when the weather is pleasant, and the crowds are smaller. The summer months (July-August) can be hot and crowded, while winter can be rainy.
