Lopburi

Lopburi is most famous for its large population of wild monkeys that roam freely throughout the city, particularly around the ancient Khmer temples like Prang Sam Yot.

While the monkeys are generally accustomed to humans, they can be unpredictable. It's important to keep a safe distance, avoid eye contact, and not carry food openly. Be mindful of your belongings, as the monkeys are known to snatch items.

Besides the monkeys, Lopburi offers historical sites such as the Prang Sam Yot, the Narai Ratchaniwet Palace, and the Wat Phra Sri Ratana Mahathat. The city also has local markets and temples that offer a glimpse into Thai culture.
