Lalibela

The best time to visit Lalibela is during the dry season, from October to May. The weather is generally sunny and pleasant, making it ideal for exploring the churches and surrounding areas. The rainy season, from June to September, can make travel more difficult.

The most common way to reach Lalibela is by air. Ethiopian Airlines operates daily flights from Addis Ababa to Lalibela Airport (LLI). Alternatively, you can travel by road, but the journey can be long and challenging, especially during the rainy season.

When visiting the churches, it's important to dress respectfully. Shoulders and knees should be covered. Women may also need to cover their heads. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as you'll be doing a lot of walking on uneven ground.
