Grado

The best time to visit Grado is during the shoulder seasons, from May to June and September to October, when the weather is pleasant, and the crowds are smaller. July and August are the peak tourist months, with the warmest temperatures but also the highest prices and largest crowds.

The nearest airport is Trieste Airport (TRS), about 20 kilometers from Grado. From the airport, you can take a taxi, bus, or rent a car. Grado is also accessible by train to the nearby town of Cervignano-Aquileia-Grado, followed by a bus or taxi to Grado.

Must-see attractions include the Basilica di Sant'Eufemia, the historic center with its charming streets, the beaches, and the Grado Lagoon. Consider also a boat trip to the nearby island of Barbana, home to a Franciscan sanctuary.
