The dry season, from May to September, is the best time to visit Cuiabá and the Pantanal. During this period, the weather is pleasant, and wildlife viewing is optimal as animals congregate around remaining water sources. However, be prepared for higher prices and more tourists.

Explore the historic center, visit the Museu do Índio (Indigenous Museum), and experience the local cuisine. A boat trip or safari in the Pantanal is a must, as is a visit to Chapada dos Guimarães National Park for its stunning waterfalls and rock formations.

Cuiabá is served by Marechal Rondon International Airport (CGB), with flights from major Brazilian cities and some international connections. You can also reach Cuiabá by bus, though travel times can be long. Within the city, taxis, ride-sharing services, and buses are available.
