Chengde is easily accessible by train and bus from major cities like Beijing and Tianjin. The high-speed train is a convenient and fast option. You can also fly into Beijing Capital International Airport and then take a train or bus to Chengde. Within the city, taxis and buses are readily available for getting around.

The Mountain Resort is the primary attraction, but don't miss the Putuo Zongcheng Temple (Little Potala Palace), the Puning Temple, and the Eight Outer Temples. Consider exploring the surrounding areas for hiking and enjoying the natural beauty.
