Carrickfergus

The primary attraction is Carrickfergus Castle, a remarkably well-preserved Norman castle. Other points of interest include the town's harbor, the Andrew Jackson Centre (a museum dedicated to the US President's ancestry), and the charming town center with its historic buildings and shops.

Carrickfergus is easily accessible by car, train, and bus. It is located approximately 11 miles (18 km) from Belfast. Regular train services run from Belfast Central Station to Carrickfergus. The journey takes around 20 minutes.

Visitors can explore Carrickfergus Castle, walk along the waterfront, enjoy boat trips, visit local shops and pubs, and learn about the town's history at the local museums. The area is also ideal for scenic walks and enjoying the coastal views.
