The best time to visit Boston is during the shoulder seasons, spring (April-May) and fall (September-October). The weather is pleasant, the crowds are smaller than in summer, and the fall foliage is particularly stunning. Summer (June-August) is also popular, but expect higher prices and more tourists. Winter (November-March) can be cold and snowy, but offers a unique charm and fewer crowds.

Boston is a very walkable city, especially in the downtown area. The MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority), also known as the "T", provides efficient public transportation via subway, bus, and commuter rail. Consider purchasing a CharlieCard or CharlieTicket for easy access. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are also readily available. For exploring areas outside the city center, consider renting a car.

Must-see attractions include the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile walking path that leads to 16 historical sites; Faneuil Hall Marketplace, a historic meeting place and shopping destination; the Museum of Fine Arts; the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum; and Fenway Park. Don't miss a stroll through the Boston Public Garden and a visit to Harvard University in Cambridge.
