Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya is easily accessible from Bangkok, located approximately 80 kilometers to the north. You can take a train, bus, or minivan from the capital. The train is the most comfortable and scenic option, while buses and minivans are faster.

The must-see attractions include Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Mahathat (famous for the Buddha head in tree roots), Wat Yai Chaimongkol, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram. Don't miss the Ayutthaya Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
