Key attractions include Arusha National Park, the Cultural Heritage Centre, the Central Market, and the Tanzanite Experience. A visit to the coffee plantations and a day trip to the nearby Mount Meru are also highly recommended.

The best time to visit Arusha is during the dry season, from June to October, when the weather is pleasant and ideal for safaris and outdoor activities. However, the shoulder seasons (April-May and November) can also be enjoyable with fewer crowds.

Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Arusha. For exploring the city and its surroundings, you can hire a car or join organized tours. Public transport, such as dala-dalas (minibuses), is also available but can be crowded.
